The FOODPHOTO FESTIVAL takes place from 4 - 7 June 2019 at the Old Theatre, Vejle, Denmark.
Workshops will take place on 4-5 June and will be at different locations around Vejle.
6-7 June will be filled with a program of Conferences, Portfolio Reviews, PechaKuchas, Shared Experiences, Network Dinners and Festival Bar.
The Screening (FOODPHOTO on stage), Award Ceremony and Award Party will be on the Friday night 7 June and not to be missed!
If you have submitted your work, you will be contacted by 15 March 2019 to let you know if your submissions will be showed in the exhibition or in the screening.
About 20 photographers will be selected for the printed exhibition. Costs for printing, framing, hanging the images and the listing in the "hall of fame" at our website are covered by the FOODPHOTO FESTIVAL.
About 50 photographers will be selected for the screenings. Costs for video editing, music and projecting are covered. Photographer get listed in the "hall of fame" at the festival website.

The images of the selected photographers will be exhibited at the FOODPHOTO ART EXHBITION in Vejle, Denmark 5-30th of June 2019 either in the exhibition and/or in the screening. For the next 2 years the exhibition might travel to other locations. Images are also published in an exhibition catalog.
If you have already purchased your Festival Ticket and your work had been chosen for the printed exhibition, a full refund will be given.
If you have already purchased your Festival Ticket and your work has been chosen for the Screenings, the 20% discount you are owed will be refunded to you (only in the case of non discounted tickets)
No, discounts are not stackable.

Experts in the field of Food Photography and Styling will be offering workshops on a variety of topics. These 3 hours hands-on learning sessions can be booked with the Festival Ticket with a discount or separately. Workshops will be held in a set up studio or on location.

Portfolio reviews give you the chance to meet 1 on 1 with art directors, publishers, art buyers and editors from different countries and discuss your work. Bookings can be done at the information desk.

Announcements for the 2019 Portfolio Reviewers will be staggered over the coming months, with the final list being published a couple of weeks before the Festival begins.
Bookings can be done at the information desk on arrival. Please note ONLY for participants with Festival Ticket. We limit each inscription to 4 appointments of 10-15 minutes with the reviewers of your choice if possible.
No guarantees. We do not know how many people will be interested in seeing which reviewer upfront. We will try to even out the bookings to the best of our capacity to have everyone see as much reviewers of their choice.
Conferences will be give by experts in the field of Food Photography and Food Styling on a variety of topics whereas Pechakuchas are 20 minute presentations given by festival participants.

Shared Experiences consist of around 6 professionals discussing their projects related to Food Photography or Styling and learn from each other. There will be a moderator present to guide the discussion during this 1 hour session.
Bookings can be done at the registration desk at the Festival itself. Participation in Shared Experiences is only possible with Festival Ticket.
There will be Network Dinners with pre-bookings on the 5th, 6th and 7th of June, each in a different restaurant in Vejle. Each dinner varies in price and menu. They are only available with a Festival Ticket.
Tickets for these network dinners are limited and will be available to purchase on the website starting 6th of March here.
A "walk-in" network dinner is organized on the 4th of June from 19h in Restaurant STREETFOOD.
FOODPHOTO on stage happens at the Scenen room on the second floor of the Torvehallern Festival hotel on the evening of 7 June, the final day of the festival. Here we will highlight the work of the nominated photographers in a screening and an award ceremony will take place.
The event is for FOODPHOTO FESTIVAL participants but additional tickets will be available for the general public, family and friends.
FOODPHOTO on stage and Award party are both included in your Festival Ticket.
This ticket allows for 2 free drinks per person.
On the 5 June, Conrads Bar will open from 21h - for participants to get to know each other and mingle.
On the 6 June, M.i. Bar will open from 21h (after the Festival network dinner in Madindustrien - same address) for participants to get to know each other a little bit more.
Cancellations have to be done in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org.
For a full refund, cancellation must be made until 1 month prior to the event. A 20€ handling fee will be substracted from the refund; Paypal fees will not be refunded. 50% refund up until 2 weeks prior to the event, except fees. No refund will be done less than 2 weeks prior to the event.
